Why are you called Capella Cheese?
We are named after the star Capella (Latin for “she-goat”), the sixth brightest star in the night sky and the brightest in the constellation Auriga (Latin for “charioteer”). The constellation Auriga has served to illustrate various myths and legends over time. The one closest to our heart is a story about a goat herder who was called to be a charioteer but couldn’t bear to leave his herd behind, so he carried his goats with him in his chariot.
Why should we buy from Capella Cheese? What makes your shop special?
In short, because we go the extra mile to make sure our products get into your hands in the best possible condition. We store our cheeses in custom designed rooms to preserve their unique characteristics and maintain the highest level of quality.
How do I care for my cheese when I get it home?
Cheese is a dynamic food and benefits from being able to breathe. The best way to keep your cheese in good condition is to wrap it in a breathable cheese paper. If you don't have cheese paper, then a plastic bag or a tupperware are usually better than plastic wrap.
