Quicke's Goat Cheddar
The Quicke family has been dairy farming in Devon since 1540. Mary Quicke is currently at the helm as a 14th generation dairy farmer and cheesemaker.
Quicke’s historically has made cow’s milk clothbound cheddar, but they’ve expanded their offerings in recent years. This cheddar uses locally sourced goat’s milk and is aged for 6 months.
The lush green fields of Devon come through in the milk quality, with aromas of freshly cut grass and upturned earth. This, blended with the cheddar’s natural sharpness, makes for notes of spicy horseradish, apple cider, and cultured cream on the palate.
